Hubert Veneau Pouilly-Fumé - Coteaux du Giennois


The Estate

Belonging to a long generation of winemakers, Hubert Veneau ook over the estate at the beginning of the 70’s to produce some of the best COTEAUX DU GIENNOIS wines. In the early 80’s he expanded the estate with a range of Pouilly Fumé wines. His leadership, determination and courage allowed the company to grow from 2 to 36 hectares -5 to 89 acres- of vines under production. His two sons, Bertrand and Jerome took over his work.

We continue to maintain the know-how and the traditions:

  • Using the natural yeasts
  • Best grapes selection
  • Maturing on fine lees
The Estate used unique parcels:
  • La Roche at Tracy sur Loire for the AOC Pouilly Fumé
  • "Le Champ des Pierres" – field of stones (according to our grandfather) at Saint Père for the AOC Côteaux du Giennois
